Big Weekend!

Kinley Jeanne Atwood arrived Saturday morning after only 4 hours of labor in the hospital. There were about 6 hours spent at home trying to figure out if it was time for her to arrive, getting ready and driving to the hospital. It was a big difference of the 19 hours of labor in the hospital with Logan. It was over before I even knew what was happening! I'm not saying it was a picnic...just different than Logan's birthday :)

Kinley was born Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 7:02 A.M.

7 lbs. 12 oz. and 21 in.

She was born 2 days before her due date, just like Logan!

Matt's Office

Matt's office is finished and his furniture and stuff have been moved out of the Baby's room. The Baby's room has been painted and a few things have been moved in. I'm still trying to go through the tubs of storage to find all of Logan's old things, though.

Visit from Chicago/Urbana/Philo Family

Ryan, Kate (Ryan's Roommate), Chris, Erik, Kirsten & Zeke visited Xenia last weekend. They went on a mushroom hunt but didn't find any. We had lunch, visited and got to sit outside and enjoy the warmer weather, though.

Ryan decided he needed a tutorial on how to change his oil and fix a headlight. It really wasn't an entertaining show...we just happened to have the lawnchairs setup where they decided to work.
Logan (almost 3 1/2) and his cousin Zeke (almost 4) ran 100 miles-a-minute the whole time they were together. They were so happy to play together. Here they are dragging the gravel out of the driveway onto the concrete apron.

Popsicle breaktime.

Ryan took the Willys Jeep for a drive over behind our house and got it stuck...then they went through a trail in the woods and got it muddy!

Thomas the Train...Live on Stage!

Here Logan is with his tent he got for Christmas from Nana and Pops. I just unpacked it last week. Logan loves it so much, he even took a couple of naps in it.

Grandma Jeanne took us to see Thomas & Friends in St. Louis. Logan really enjoyed it.

After Thomas, we took Logan to Build-A-Bear to make Peter, his new rabbit friend. If you are not familiar with this process...this is a picture of Logan giving Peter a "bath." He stepped on the pedal and air came out of the yellow "shower heads."

The making of Matt's Home Office...

We are completing one finished room in our basement right away--Matt's office. Right now he is operating out of Baby's room. Baby's ETA is June 22, so Matt, Ed, Bill and Logan have been working hard on the office downstairs.

Here is the "before" picture. The office is in the southwest corner of the basement.

Drywall is up. The hole on the right-side of the picture is for an extra closet. The office has now been primed, but my pictures have not caught up with my blogging. More to come later.

House Pictures

My camera broke around move-in time and I've been using Matt's work camera. We finally purchased a new personal camera this weekend and I was able to get the pictures off my memory card. Here are pictures of the completed house. I say completed, but it is still a work-in-progress. I'm not sure if anyone's house is ever completed!

Home Sweet Home

Kitchen...we're still waiting on a countertop for the bar area.

Right now we have a custom-cut piece of cardboard covering it.

The company keeps cutting incorrect angles and finishing the wrong edges.

The plan is to add cabinets and a coat rack to this room.
